Led by Edella Schlager, University of Arizona and Saba Siddiki, Syracuse University. The institutional grammar is a prominent approach for understanding and analyzing institutions. First developed by Sue Crawford and Elinor Ostrom, it has been applied across a variety of institutional domains. The methods workshop will offer a tutorial in the grammar. Workshop participants will learn about the theoretical foundations of the grammar, engage in coding laws and regulations, and explore different approaches for measuring and analyzing the coded data.
