Centering the Commons: Resilience, Resistance, and Collective Action

The 21st IASC Biennial Conference will take place June 21–25, 2027 at Universitas Hasanuddin in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It will bring together scholars, practitioners, artists, and youth from around the world to advance our collective understanding of how the commons are governed, sustained, and transformed in the face of ecological, political, and social crises.

We estimate the full conference cost to be substantial. Your support helps keep registration fees accessible — particularly for participants from low- and middle-income countries — and enables fellowships for early-career scholars and IASC members with financial need, ensuring more equitable global participation.
